Irmandinho: Shotgun

Third time lucky!
I shamelessly (shamefully?) ripped off a list from the internet that had three Irmandinhos... so I had a great excuse to get this sculpt and paint it up!

Not much cam this time!
... but lots of black.

I haven't worked out the best recipe for black as yet.  For the the wet suit it was a base coat (really an undercoat) of Badger Stylnrenz Primer and then adding highlights to the folds with VMC Black Grey and then VMC Dark Grey and finally with a bit of VGC Cold Grey.

I tried to differentiate this with the weapons and tools on her webbing by stepping up the contrast- by skipping the VMC Black Grey step and then with the addition of the VGC Ghost Grey edge highlights/ spot highlights.

Contrast between hood and box 'blacks'
Apart from the painting side of things, I have long thought that sectorials should push their AVA on specialised units so having 3 Irmandinhos will do nicely.  I've found that two aren't really enough (for me anyway) as they as such good units they are often dragged away from objectives to kill midfield skirmishers.

In game I'll be running her as a chain-rifle Irmandinhos.  I famously can't roll for peanuts so I'll take a direct template everytiime.

Pistol and blue smoke grenade on view.
Can't wait for the plague to pass and the face to face gaming recommence.

Until then... I'll be whittling down the lead pile.

That judging look at the unpainted model collection.
Stay safe everyone and happy hobbying.
