Sniper rifle. |
Another great looking sculpt that I finished at the same time as the Boarding Shotgun model.
I do prefer the HMG version- 4 attack dice are always better than 2- but there is sometimes a need to get that -12 modifier on an enemy total reaction remote and this guy does the job for TAK.

Nice crisp details. |
With the same colour palette as the shotgun Spetsnaz, they lend themselves to "batch" painting well.

Rear View. |
The blue beret was a trickier prospect. I was using Scale 75 blue paints and found that with their lower pigment they were actually easier to layer. A more laborious prospect but ultimately a better finish.

Another view. |
Once again, I really enjoyed doing the details- great sharp edges and well defined recesses allowing for excellent highlighting.
The night vision goggles I glazed with VMC Cavalry Brown (which is a rich red colour) to give the soft red glow.

Details under the daylight bulb. |
Until next time- happy hobbying.
