Third time lucky!

I shamelessly (shamefully?) ripped off a list from the internet that had three Irmandinhos... so I had a great excuse to get this sculpt and paint it up!

Being caught up in the whirlwind of the past 6 months I haven't had the time to do much hobby.

Though now confined to quarters at least I can do some blogging of what I've managed to paint.

Irnandinhos with Chain Rifles

Superior scavenger.

Booty level 1, scavenger, engineer, smoke grenades and 8 points.  What's there not to like?

Rawr!

I'm not a fan of the concept but the in game utility of this model is undeniable- particularly in light of the new changes to Total Immunity.  

In it's second game it landed amongst a link team and spread chain rifle love around- taking out 3 link members and knocking down a sniper nearby.  Admittedly on the very good end of the probability curve but a threat that can't be ignored.

I've had this Bolt Action itch for a while now.  I do also have a huge lead pile to get through.

So I decided to try out some Bolt Action paint schemes on my Ariadna miniatures to freshen me up a bit from the pain that is trying to paint multicam.

This guy was a grind to paint!  So many details!

But... persevered and finished him off.

I wanted to speed paint this model... sadly, it had too many details that needed attention!

Veteran Kazak- AP HMG

5 Burst is Best Burst.

I was motoring along Operation Coldfront when it occurred to me that I needed a burst 5 AP HMG in any TAK link I was going to put down on the table.

Hence I got this guy done.

I wasn't that much of a fan of the model until I put some paint on it... now I love it.

I also made an effort to use saturated colours and thus accentuate the contrasts on the armour.  it really helps make the model 'pop' on the table top.

I'm steadily motoring my way through Operation Coldfront and experimenting with a multicam recipe I found online.  

I haven't got it down pat as yet... maybe after a few dozen models.

With a few hiatuses for gaming,  I'm steadily plugging my way through the Ariadnan half of the Coldfront box.

I'm very happy with the sculpts and they have been a pleasure to paint.

Strategos Series: MOAB2018- USAriadna ITSX

BLUF: 4^th out of 16- sabotaged myself by not reading mission scoring.  One minor victory should have been a major and one minor victory WAS a major but not recorded as such (read how the bloody missions score before submitting forms!!) and my one loss could have been mitigated. 

My poor mission comprehension cost myself a podium spot.

Never again!

Somewhat unfortunately due to the odd lens effect on her face plate.

Maybe I should just stick to airbrushing tricky effects like that?

Enemy vs Mission Concept In List Generation

- novel missions

- failed to appreciate the CONTEXTUAL element in the idea of fighting power
- not just the conceptual- i.e. USARF is good at cheap attrition
- not just the physical element- i.e. this model has this profile and is used in this way (CONTEXT changes it's use and thus its importance).

Blackjack T2 Sniper Rifle: Double Edition

Exotic ammo type for the total immune amongst you!

It's been a while!  I've been painting away furiously and getting some games in.  

I can't remember exactly when the thought of running double sniper Blackjacks in a single list would be a good thing (... I think it was for The Grid mission)- but I've had a Blackjack mouldering in a corner for almost a year.

I finished a batch of Minutemen quite some time ago.  It was a chore. 

And it also doesn't help they they never see the table in a standard game of Infinity either.

Love this model.  A fitting replacement for the Gecko that has subbed in for so long.
